In this modern epoch, it is of prime importance to spread environmental awareness in the context of successfully addressing environmental problems. In lieu of the above, our esteemed organization CHINMAYA VIDYALAYA is continuously trying to bring a big change through an in-house programme called ECO CLUB with the blessings of Pujya Swami Chinmayanand Ji with a sole aim of creating greater awareness within communities with respect to putting environmental resources to use even while conserving them .The recent activity by this group was NUKAAD NATAK , themed on " SAY NO TO PLASTIC " which was successfully performed.The skit elucidated all the problems related to plastic in our daily life and its effects on our coming future . This enlightening skit was enjoyed by viewers of all ages . Hoping the ultimate message of NO PLASTIC is passed on to every individual, the ECO CLUB TEAM will continue to take up such work towards shaping a better environment by more and more upcoming projects in future.

The club regularly involve students in action-based program related to safe road, safe speed, safe driving and safe vehicle, conducts awareness campaigns about the helmet, seat belt, drug abuse, speed, drunk driving, etc. and slogan and poster making competitions.

Our school band is a group of students who rehearse and perform instrumental music together. Schools often offer a beginning band class, where students can learn instruments together. Our school also offer small group or one-on-one lesson instruction for beginning band students.

TAEKWONDO CLUB

Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, that teaches more than physical fighting skills. It is a discipline that shows ways of enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind. Today, it has become a global sport that has gained an international reputation, and stands among the official game

  • Students are taught from the first class to stand straight, to answer with manners (yes sir) and to respect those around them.
  • Students are taught that the hardest move in all of martial arts is to stand still and control themselves.
  • As a child gains physical control, they will learn control over their mind as well. Numerous studies have shown that the structured traditional environment of taekwondo benefits children in the classroom.
  • The main purposes of Taekwondo is to teach you various different ways of defending yourself.
  • Taekwondo can definitely teach you to focus on a given task at hand, and that is something which can translate to your everyday life.
  • Another upside to practicing Taekwondo is that it works to increase your flexibility. This is because before and after you do a Taekwondo class, your instructor will have you go through a series of stretches
  • Practising taekwondo on regular basis make you feel happier because the exercises done in it produces some chemicals that fights away depression and anxiety.
  • Taekwondo strengthens our muscles .Taekwondo also has the advantage of being a bone building exercise. This is a martial art that involves a lot of kicking, jumping, pushing with your arms and legs, punching, and landing on your body as you spar with your opponents. All of these actions do technically count as weight bearing exercise. Weight bearing exercises by nature are crucial for helping you build stronger and better bones.

ABACUS & LEFT HAND WRITING CLUB

The abacus is a traditional counting tool that helps children learn mental arithmetic. It's been used for over 4,000 years and is still used today for accounting and education.

Writing with your left hand can also enhance memory. Writing with your non-dominant hand engages different parts of your brain, which can help create stronger neural connections. This can lead to better memory retention and recall.
